- Hong Kong 47 case: Wong was sentenced on November 19, 2024 to four years and eight months’ imprisonment for conspiracy to commit subversion arising from the 2020 unofficial democratic primary.
- Second national-security case: on September 2, 2026, Wong pleaded guilty to conspiracy to collude with foreign forces. Reuters and Associated Press reported that sentencing had not yet been fixed as of that date.
- Custody: he remains imprisoned. Reuters reported on September 2, 2026 that his Hong Kong 47 sentence was due to end in January 2027, but the second case creates additional unresolved sentencing exposure.
