Case chronology
Leung pleaded guilty in November 2021 to inciting others to join and participating in the unauthorized June Fourth vigil held in Victoria Park in 2020. On December 13, 2021 he was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment. A separate April 2021 unauthorized-assembly case had produced an eight-month term suspended for 12 months. Hong Kong Watch’s later political-prisoner record identifies him as released, so this archive classifies the imprisonment as historical rather than current.
