Lam Wing-kee was manager of Causeway Bay Books and one of five Hong Kong booksellers detained in the 2015 cross-border booksellers case. He later moved to Taiwan and reopened Causeway Bay Books there. Reuters reported that he died in Taipei in July 2026 after cancer. His death is not classified as a death in custody.
