Canonical ID: DISS-WU-JIANXIANG
Classification: China Spring participant; Chinese Alliance for Democracy (CAD) first-congress leadership record.
Profile
Wu Jianxiang (吴俭祥) was an early participant in the overseas Chinese democracy movement associated with China Spring and the Chinese Alliance for Democracy. Wang Min’s first-person recollection identifies Wu as an early China Spring colleague who joined university lecture tours in the United States in 1983. The same recollection places Wu in the August 7, 1984 delegation that entered the PRC embassy with Wang Min, Tang Guangzhong (Nan Ming) and Shaojun to deliver registration and amnesty documents.
The CAD Ten-Year History later lists Wu among the organization’s first-congress standing committee and alliance committee. That organizational title remains source-bounded pending page-level verification of the original China Spring issue 10 election record; the original scan has been located but the controlling election page has not yet been independently verified.
Evidence and controls
The current source baseline combines Wang Min’s first-person early-China Spring recollection, the CAD Ten-Year History, and the located original scan of China Spring issue 10. The early 1983–1984 activity is directly attested; exact first-congress office and tenure remain subject to the original election record.
Primary-source gaps: original China Spring issue 10 first-congress election page; 1983 lecture-tour records; issue 18 reporting and documents concerning the August 7, 1984 embassy action; exact identity and tenure records.
Custody status: No political-custody chronology is established in the reviewed evidence.
FCM research note: this profile is source-bounded and will be enriched as additional primary records are recovered.
