Chen Chengge (陈成个) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Yuncheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, serving a six-year prison term, Minghui.org reported.
On July 10, 2024, Ms. Chen, then reported to be 60, was arrested with seven other practitioners — Cui Jun, Zhu Lingdian, Jia Suqin, Xia Ruiying, Hou Yuchun, Fan Airong, and Chen Fengjuan — while studying Falun Gong teachings together, according to Minghui. Police had been following Ms. Cui and Ms. Xia in April and May 2024 and had installed a location tracker on Ms. Xia’s electric bike, the report said. Officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, computers, and printers.
Ms. Chen was taken to the Heze Detention Center the next day. Her arrest was approved on August 13, 2024. Prosecutor Che Xianfeng of the Yuncheng County Primary Procuratorate later indicted all nine practitioners and moved the cases to the Yuncheng County Primary Court.
Ms. Chen and Ms. Chen Fengjuan’s cases were singled out: they appeared in court on December 12, 2024, and were sentenced by judges Bian Xiaobing, Meng Fanhui, and Li (first name unknown). Ms. Chen received six years with an unknown court fine. All eight convicted practitioners appealed; the Heze City Intermediate Court rejected Ms. Chen’s appeal, Minghui reported in May 2025.
This was not her first detention. On March 23, 2016, Ms. Chen was arrested and detained for ten days, Minghui reported.
A prisoners-of-conscience database (tenchu.org, Shandong record, updated June 19, 2025) lists 陈成个 (Chen Chengge) as in prison with a listed release date of 2030.7.10.
