Yermieke•Musilin (叶尔灭克 木思林) is listed in the Rights Defense Network’s Issue-131 prisoner roster (August 31, 2026) among political prisoners in its current-custody roster, in the Xinjiang group. The only case-level record found for this name is a Chinese Human Rights Defenders database entry describing his detention in 2017.
According to that record, 叶尔灭克﹒木思林, born February 20, 1980, was a villager of Jixinliang Village in Dongcheng Township, Mulei County, Changji, Xinjiang. On April 17, 2017, the Mulei County Public Security Bureau placed him under criminal detention after he posted messages in a WeChat group expressing a wish to travel to Kazakhstan. No further news of him has been documented since. An account relayed in August 2017 through a contact of the family described him as an ordinary villager who held no passport and had never been to Kazakhstan, and said police had first taken his mobile phone for an “inspection” before detaining him days later, without allowing family visits.
The sources disagree on one point: the CHRD record describes him as Hui (回族), while the World Uyghur Congress report on the same detention and the Rights Defense Network roster describe him as Kazakh. That discrepancy is unresolved.
The charge and place of detention are not given in the available record. His status beyond the August 2026 roster listing has not been independently confirmed.
