A surviving FreeChina.net file preserves an invitation addressed to Wei Jingsheng asking him to become a member of the Free China Movement Foundation Board. The letter, signed by Joel Segal, describes a proposed board role involving decisions over movement funding, fundraising and participation in regular Washington, D.C. meetings.
The existence of the invitation does not by itself establish that Wei accepted the invitation or served on the board. Any claim of subsequent membership requires separate evidence.
