Kinda Li Ka-tat (李嘉達) is a Hong Kong democracy activist and former Hong Kong 47 political prisoner.
Arrest and charge
Li was arrested on January 6, 2021 in the mass national-security operation targeting participants in the July 2020 unofficial democratic primary. He was formally charged with conspiracy to commit subversion on February 28, 2021.
Sentence
On November 19, 2024, he was sentenced to 4 years 3 months in the Hong Kong 47 case.
Release
Li was released on May 30, 2025 after completing his sentence. He is therefore classified here as a former political prisoner / released, not as currently imprisoned.
