Liu Qing (刘青) is a Democracy Wall-era activist, independent-press editor, former political prisoner, and later human-rights advocate. Contemporary and later source layers document his role in the April Fifth Forum and unofficial-publication movement, his imprisonment, and later human-rights work.
Available sources differ on parts of his custody chronology, including the length and timing of successive administrative and criminal punishments. Free China Movement preserves those differences rather than deriving a release date from sentence arithmetic. Contemporaneous reporting places his release in November 1989; the original legal and release instruments remain research targets.
