Tong Yi (童屹) is a Chinese democracy activist, former aide to Wei Jingsheng, and former political prisoner.
Public role
P1 research documents Tong’s democracy activism and work connected with Wei Jingsheng. Her record includes a 1994–1996 reeducation-through-labor episode. This profile keeps legal and organizational descriptions source-bounded.
Custody and later status
The controlled P1 chronology records the 1994–1996 reeducation-through-labor episode. She is not currently known to be in custody in the verified baseline.
Research status
The P1 media baseline is completed. Primary legal records and deeper chronology remain subjects for archival enrichment and do not block this baseline profile.
Source control: Established facts are separated from claims that still require primary-record verification. Corrections and additional documentary evidence are welcome.
