Xie Wanjun (谢万军) was an organizer of the China Democracy Party effort in Shandong in 1998. Contemporary reporting documents attempts by Xie and other activists to register a Shandong preparatory organization, followed by detention and pressure during the wider crackdown on the party.
Radio Free Asia subsequently reported his 1999 escape from China and arrival in exile. Later claims about national or overseas organizational titles are treated separately and require organization-issued governance records before they are stated as settled facts.
