Purpose

Help establish functional Free China Movement state, regional, local, city and university chapters using a lightweight, activity-based model rather than title-only structures.

Core responsibilities

  • Guide prospective chapters through the minimum three-active-participant model.
  • Help define geographic or campus scope, temporary coordination and 90-day activity plans.
  • Support chapter status tracking from proposed to provisional, active, paused or reorganized.
  • Encourage documented activity, membership growth, outreach and accountability.
  • Coordinate with communications, university outreach and volunteer teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in community organizing, membership development, nonprofit operations, campus organizing or volunteer coordination helpful.
  • Strong communication and follow-through.
  • English required; Chinese helpful.
  • Ability to work across differing viewpoints while maintaining FCM nonviolence, democratic and evidence standards.

Time and reporting

Flexible commitment. Reports to Executive / Operations and works with chapter and outreach leads.

Privacy and ethics

Protect member/contact information, avoid unnecessary collection of sensitive data, disclose conflicts of interest, and do not represent inactive or title-only groups as active chapters.
