Xin Haonian — Which Is the New China?
Xin Haonian’s Who/Which Is the New China: A Reassessment of Modern Chinese History is an influential interpretation of modern Chinese republican history. It is included here as an external research perspective, not as an official Free China position.
Huang Hua Gang was founded in 2001 with Xin Haonian as editor and became an important publication venue for essays on republican history, Sun Yat-sen, constitutional questions, modern Chinese history, and political transition. The magazine and its archive are preserved here as a major external research source.
