Yao Yueqian / 姚月谦 — China Spring Japan Liaison and CAD

Canonical ID: DISS-YAO-YUEQIAN

Classification: China Spring/CAD Japan liaison; first-congress leadership record.

Profile

Yao Yueqian (姚月谦) was a long-serving participant in the overseas Chinese democracy movement. The CAD Ten-Year History identifies him in the pre-congress China Spring liaison network and later lists him among the first-congress standing committee and alliance committee. Later organizational history describes Yao as a long-serving member responsible for distributing China Spring in Japan and records continuing responsibilities in the Japanese branch.

Evidence and controls

The current source baseline includes the CAD Ten-Year History and later branch-history records. The original scan of China Spring issue 10 has been located, but the election page has not yet been independently page-verified. Accordingly, Yao’s long-term Japan liaison and distribution role is materially supported, while the exact first-congress committee title remains source-bounded pending the original election record.

Primary-source gaps: original China Spring issue 10 election page; early Japan liaison and distribution records; branch appointment and tenure records; later congress records.

Custody status: No political-custody chronology is established in this research lane.

FCM research note: this profile will be enriched as additional primary records are recovered.
