Qian Lizhu is the romanized name used in Asia Watch reporting for a Yueyang farmer detained after the 1989 democracy movement. The source itself warns that the surname “Qian” may be incorrect; this archive preserves that uncertainty and does not assign Chinese characters.

Documented record
Asia Watch reported Qian as a 26-year-old farmer from Yueyang City. Authorities accused Qian of entering the city to spread “rumors,” attacking the Party and government, and participating in “disturbances.” These are attributed official characterizations, not independently established findings.
The report states that Qian was arrested after June 4, 1989 and that the Yueyang City Public Security Bureau imposed three years of re-education through labor in October 1989. RTL was administrative detention, not a criminal court sentence.

Research limits
The source explicitly cautions that the surname may be wrong. The present evidence set does not establish Chinese characters, the RTL decision document, detention facility, confirmed release date, later biography, or current status. Release is not inferred from the nominal term.
