This archive accompanies the canonical profile of Pan Gang / 潘刚 and preserves the principal public sources used to document his detention and imprisonment history.
## Case chronology in the public record
A November 11, 2005 Minghui report identified Pan Gang as a 48-year-old employee of the Nong’an County Tax Bureau in Jilin Province and described repeated detention and forced-labor terms. It reported detention at Yinmahe, Chaoyanggou and Weizigou forced-labor camps and alleged beatings, force-feeding, suspension by handcuffs and other mistreatment. These allegations originate with Minghui and are preserved here as attributed claims rather than independent findings.
A September 9, 2015 Minghui compilation identified Pan as a civil servant at the Nong’an Local Taxation Bureau. It reported that he had been secretly sentenced to eight years in prison in 2011 and that his wife filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin on his behalf in June 2015.
Minghui reported on February 4, 2025 that Pan had been arrested on April 14, 2023 and later held at the Nong’an County Detention Center. According to that report, the detention center told his family on January 9, 2024 that he had been transferred to Jilin Province Prison to serve a four-year term. The same article reported that he was hospitalized in January 2025 and that medical parole was not being granted; those details were attributed to family communications described by the outlet.
The Rights Defense Network’s July 31, 2026 monthly report on political prisoners and prisoners of conscience, reproduced by China Truth, included Pan Gang among people serving four-year sentences. The dated roster supports continued monitoring of him as a prisoner at that point but does not establish subsequent developments.
## Evidence limitations
Much of the detailed chronology comes from Minghui, which is affiliated with Falun Gong. Its reporting is useful for documenting claims and chronology but is identified explicitly as the source. Allegations of torture, health conditions and official statements are not converted here into independently verified facts when no separate corroborating source has been located.
