Documented reporting timeline
2022–2024: earlier detention history
Minghui reported that Ren was arrested in November 2022 after police alleged she had posted Falun Gong materials. A February 2024 report said she had been released after two days under residential surveillance and was taken again in August 2023, when a detention center reportedly declined admission because of her health.
April 2025: detention
Minghui reported that officers from Jitai Police Station arrested Ren on April 22, 2025 and that she was held at Weifang City Detention Center.
February 2026: sentence
On February 11, 2026, Minghui reported that the Shouguang City Court had sentenced Ren on February 2 to three years and six months in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan. It reported that she intended to appeal. Rights Defense Network reporting subsequently listed the same sentence and a reported sentence end date of October 21, 2028.
May–June 2026: prison transfer
A June 2026 Minghui report said Ren’s appeal had been rejected and that she was transferred on May 10, 2026 to Shandong Province Women’s Prison. This is a dated source report; this archive does not infer later custody changes absent newer evidence.
Source assessment
The most detailed narrative is from Minghui, which is affiliated with Falun Gong and reports extensively on persecution of practitioners. Its reports are valuable primary-community documentation but allegations concerning mistreatment, medical conditions and official conduct are retained here with attribution. Rights Defense Network’s prisoner-monitoring corpus provides an additional record for the sentence.
