Kang Yongcui

Kang Yongcui is a Falun Gong practitioner from Fuyang City, Anhui Province, reported to be serving a 3.5-year prison sentence imposed in December 2023. According to Minghui, a Falun-Gong-affiliated outlet, she was arrested after being reported for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong; officers from the Yingquan Police Station raided her home and confiscated her materials. Minghui reports that she was sentenced to three and a half years on December 28, 2023, by the Fuyang City Court, and that her admission to the Hefei Women's Prison was confirmed in July 2024.

What is not known from public sources: the exact criminal charge, the text of the judgment, and which specific court heard the case ("Fuyang City Court" is the only designation reported). Her current place of custody is reported — Rights Defense Network's Issue 131 (August 31, 2026) lists her among reported current-custody cases — but has not been independently verified. No official court or government record for this case has been located.

Earlier detentions: Minghui reports that Kang was previously detained in February 2000 (58 days), in early 2006 (about a month in the Funan County Detention Center, followed by one year at the Hefei Women's Forced Labor Camp), and in June 2013 (held overnight at a police station, then 15 days at the Lixin County Detention Center and 15 months at the Bozhou City Detention Center).
