**Du Changjiang** is a Falun Gong practitioner from Yushu City, Jilin Province. According to reports by the Falun Dafa information network Minghui, he was 48 years old in 2025 and had previously been detained twice for his faith: for 15 days after an arrest on July 5, 2016, and for 10 days after an arrest on June 23, 2023.
On December 30, 2024, officers from the Yushu City Domestic Security Office arrested Du and fellow practitioner Yang Fujun after discovering that they had been helping people install satellite dishes to receive uncensored overseas news reporting on the persecution of Falun Gong. The next day, officers seized a third practitioner, Fan Yunpeng; a fourth, Lyu Xianfeng, was arrested the same day in Baise City, Guangxi, while purchasing satellite dishes, and was taken back to Yushu. Formal arrest warrants for all four were issued on January 23, 2025.
On August 18, 2025, the Dehui City Court sentenced Du to five years and six months in prison and fined him 10,000 yuan. Lyu Xianfeng and Fan Yunpeng received the same sentence; Yang Fujun received four and a half years. At the time of the report, all four were held in a local detention center. Details of the trial were not reported. A Minghui report in January 2026 noted that Fan Yunpeng was transferred to Jilin City Prison on December 2, 2025; no located source confirms Du Changjiang’s subsequent place of detention.
The Rights Defense Network’s Issue 131 in-custody roster (August 31, 2026) lists a “Du Changjiang,” consistent with the reported sentence being served.
