Gao Peifa (高培法) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jinning District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. Rights Defense Network’s Issue 131 roster dated August 31, 2026 lists “Gao Peifa” in its reported in-custody group for three-and-a-half-year sentences.
Case
According to Minghui.org, a Falun Gong-affiliated publication, Gao was 60 at sentencing and worked at Erjie Town Factory 450. Minghui reports that he was arrested at work on October 10, 2022 by officers from the Anning City Domestic Security Office and Jinning District police. It reports that his home was searched and Falun Gong books and materials were confiscated, and that he was held at several detention facilities before transfer to the Anning City Detention Center on December 5, 2022.
Minghui reports that the Anning City Court held a virtual hearing in May 2023 for Gao and co-defendant Gao Wenlong and sentenced each to three and a half years. The outlet also reports that their families were not notified of the hearing. No court judgment or official custody document was located in the publication record.
