Gao Peng (高鹏) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Changle County, Weifang City, Shandong Province. Rights Defense Network’s Issue 131 roster dated August 31, 2026 lists “Gao Peng” in its reported in-custody group for seven-year sentences.
Case
According to Minghui.org, a Falun Gong-affiliated publication, Gao was arrested on May 18, 2021 after being reported to police for distributing Falun Gong materials. Minghui reports that he was held at the Changle and Weifang detention centers, that his case went to the Qingzhou Procuratorate, and that the Qingzhou City Court held a virtual trial on December 20, 2021 and sentenced him to seven years in prison with a 50,000-yuan fine. Minghui later reported that the Weifang City Intermediate Court upheld the verdict and that Gao was transferred to Shandong Province Prison on September 22, 2022.
Minghui also reports that Gao’s father, Gao Guangcheng, served prison terms connected to his Falun Gong practice. These details remain attributed to that outlet. No court judgment or official custody document for Gao Peng was located.
