Guo Jinxian is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province and the wife of Han Laiqing. Her Chinese-character name has not been confirmed and is therefore not published here.
2023 arrest and 2024 sentence
Minghui reports that Guo was arrested on November 9, 2023 together with her husband and her sister Liu Buxian by police from Qingxu County under Taiyuan City. Guo and Liu were taken to the Gujiao Detention Center, while Han was held at the Taiyuan City Second Detention Center.
The Yingze District Court later sentenced Guo to four years in prison, Han to three years, and Liu to fourteen months. Guo and Han appealed, and Minghui reported that the appeals were rejected on April 9, 2024. No post-appeal prison location for Guo has been established.
Earlier imprisonment
Minghui reports that Guo was also arrested in December 2001 with Han Laiqing and Li Hailin while putting up Falun Gong posters, received a four-year sentence, and was transferred to Jinzhong Prison in September 2003. An older English report incorrectly rendered Guo as male; a later report from the same outlet corrects the record and identifies her as Han’s wife.
