Han Xiaolian / 韩孝莲

Han Xiaolian (韩孝莲), born in July 1959, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiutai District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Minghui reports repeated detention and imprisonment over more than two decades.

2024–2025 case

Minghui reports that Han was arrested outside her home on April 17, 2024 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to Xinglongshan Detention Center. Her family later learned that she had been sentenced to either three or three and a half years in prison. A June 5, 2025 report states that she had been sent to Jilin Province Women’s Prison. No published verdict was located, so the exact sentence length remains unresolved.

Earlier history

Minghui reports earlier arrests beginning in 1999, a one-year forced-labor term in 2000, and another major case beginning in 2002. A detailed 2025 retrospective says Han was sentenced to eleven years in November 2003 and served the term at Jilin Province Women’s Prison before release in 2011. An older 2011 report instead gives an eight-year sentence; that discrepancy is preserved.

The reports also describe alleged beatings, electric shocks, forced sitting, shackling, solitary confinement and forced labor during earlier detention. These allegations remain source-attributed and have not been independently verified.

Status and evidence limits

The latest located report, dated June 5, 2025, states that Han had been sent to Jilin Province Women’s Prison. No later status, official charge, court judgment or appeal record was located.
