Han Zhenkun / 韩震昆

Han Zhenkun (韩震昆) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Kunming, Yunnan Province and a former professional tennis player. Falun Gong-affiliated sources report that he served prison terms of seven years, four years, and four years before being detained again in 2025 and sentenced to another five years in late 2025.

Earlier imprisonment

Minghui reports that Han and his wife Guo Juan were arrested on April 23, 2004. Han was reportedly sentenced to seven years and Guo to three years; his appeal was rejected and he served the term in Yunnan No. 1 Prison before release in April 2011. He was arrested again in September 2013 and reportedly received another four-year sentence. A third arrest occurred in September 2019; Minghui reports that the Mengla County Court sentenced him in July 2020 to four years and a 40,000-yuan fine.

2025–2026 case

Sources differ on the start of the latest detention: Minghui gives May 12, 2025, while a WOIPFG notice describes police contact on May 20. Both accounts concern the same Kunming case. The WOIPFG notice reports that Han was tried by the Wuhua District Court on December 1, 2025 and sentenced on December 26 to five years in prison and a 50,000-yuan fine; it states that he appealed.

Evidence limits

The detailed record comes from Minghui and WOIPFG, a single Falun Gong advocacy/reporting ecosystem. No public court judgment or independent NGO/media coverage was located. Sources render his Chinese name as 韩震昆 and, in one WOIPFG body passage, 韩震坤; this profile uses 韩震昆 and preserves the variant as unresolved. Present custody beyond the January 2026 source is not independently verified.
