He Guilan is the name used in two early Minghui reports concerning Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing. The reports conflict materially, and the available evidence does not establish whether they describe one woman or two different women with the same romanized name.
2004–2005 report
A Minghui item published February 1, 2005 reports that a Beijing practitioner named He Guilan was taken from her home on April 27, 2004, held at what the outlet described as a secret “reform center,” transferred about six months later to Changping Prison, and sentenced to five years in prison approximately two months before the article appeared. The report also states that she had not been permitted to meet family or colleagues since the arrest.
Conflicting earlier record
A separate October 31, 2004 eyewitness account published by Minghui/Clearwisdom lists a “Ms. He Guilan, about 60 years old” among female practitioners held at the Beijing Juvenile Prisoner Detention Facility. That entry says she had been sentenced to eight years and began serving the term in 2001.
The two records cannot both describe a continuous single chronology: a person already serving an eight-year term from 2001 would not ordinarily have been taken from home in April 2004. They may concern two different women, or one record may contain inaccurate details. This profile does not resolve the conflict.
Status and evidence limits
No reliable information after February 2005 was located. Release, later detention, residence, survival and current status are unknown. Chinese characters for the name were not confirmed in a source and are therefore not published. No court document, official government record or independent non-Falun Gong reporting was located.
