He Jinbao / 何晋宝

He Jinbao (何晋宝) is reported as a leader of an unregistered house church in Kaili City, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Religious-freedom outlets reported that he and five other Christians were formally arrested in May 2026 on charges of fraud and “organizing minors to carry out activities disrupting public order.”

The Kaili case

Bitter Winter, citing Rights Defense Network reporting, identified six detainees: Wei Yongqiang, He Jinbao, Quan Xiaolong, Long Jian, Cheng Yongbing and Zhou Guixia. A Chinese-language source lists the same six names in the same order and renders He Jinbao as 何晉寶, supporting the simplified form 何晋宝 used here.

The reporting states that the case concerns Sunday-school classes, sharing Christian teachings with children and family worship. These descriptions are the outlets’ accounts of the alleged conduct; this profile does not make an independent legal judgment about the charges.

Bitter Winter reported that families retained lawyers and that the procuratorate approved the arrests. Religious-freedom outlets reported that the six remained in detention awaiting trial in mid-2026.

Status and evidence limits

The exact detention facility, trial date and any later verdict or sentence are not established in the available sources. No PRC official or state-media account of the case was located. The sixth detainee’s English name appears as both Zhou Guixia and Zhou Guiya in secondary reporting; that peripheral variance does not affect He Jinbao’s identity.
