Huang You is a Falun Gong practitioner from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. Minghui reports that she was sentenced to four years in prison in January 2025 and, as of June 2025, was serving that term at Guangdong Province Women’s Prison.
2022–2025 case
Minghui reports that Huang was arrested in February 2022 while visiting her daughter in Shenzhen’s Yantian District and was released on bail. In February 2023, the Yantian District Procuratorate received the case and summoned her for questioning.
On February 21, 2024, Minghui reports that Huang was arrested in Zhanjiang while distributing Falun Gong materials. The following day, Shenzhen officers took her back to Shenzhen, where she was held at the Longgang District Detention Center.
According to Minghui’s June 6, 2025 report, the Yantian District Court sentenced Huang to four years in prison in January 2025. The same report states that she was serving the sentence at Guangdong Province Women’s Prison.
