Jin Cuixiang (金翠香) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Liaoning Province. Falun Gong-affiliated reporting states that she has received three prison sentences connected to her practice: ten years in 2003, four years in 2018, and four years and six months in the most recent case.
Earlier imprisonment
Minghui reports that Jin, a native of Chaoyang City who later lived in Bayuquan District of Yingkou, began practicing Falun Gong in 1996. She was arrested in January 2002 and sentenced on January 23, 2003 to ten years in prison. She served that term at Liaoning Province Women’s Prison and was released in January 2012.
In January 2018, she was arrested again while traveling with other practitioners. Minghui reports a four-year sentence and an 8,000-yuan fine, later upheld on appeal. Sources differ on the precise 2018 trial date; that discrepancy remains unresolved.
2025–2026 case
Minghui and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong report that Jin was arrested on April 21, 2025 in Bayuquan District, Yingkou. She was held at the Yingkou City Detention Center and later sentenced to four years and six months in prison. WOIPFG identifies the sentencing court as the Bayuquan District Court, while one Minghui report uses the broader “Yingkou City Court” wording.
Both sources report that Jin was transferred in March 2026 to the 12th Division of Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
