Jin Min / 金敏

Jin Min (金敏) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin Province. Rights-monitoring and Falun Gong-affiliated sources report that she is serving a six-year prison sentence.

2020 arrest and prosecution

The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong reports that Jin was detained on September 11, 2020 in Yongji County, transferred to the Jilin City Detention Center, formally arrested in October, and later prosecuted through the Chuanying District procuratorate and court.

Six-year sentence

WOIPFG reports that Jin’s family learned in October 2021 that she had received a six-year sentence and that the Jilin City Intermediate Court upheld the judgment in March 2022. Minghui reports that she was transferred to Division 8 of Jilin Province Women’s Prison on August 28, 2022, but some Minghui accounts use that same date when referring to the sentence. The sentencing-date discrepancy is unresolved.

Reported mistreatment and family visits

Minghui reports that Jin lost the ability to speak while imprisoned and describes prolonged forced sitting, medical problems and restricted family visits. It also reports that her family sought medical parole and that the request was denied. These accounts are allegations reported by Minghui and have not been independently verified.

Status and evidence limits

Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 金敏 among reported current prisoners in its six-year-sentence group as of August 31, 2026. Sources disagree on whether her residence is described as Jilin City, Tonghua City or Changchun City, so this profile uses only “Jilin Province.” No release date is calculated.
