Jing Fengyun (景凤云) is a Falun Gong practitioner and former nurse from Siping City, Jilin Province. Minghui reports that she was arrested in September 2022 and sentenced in April 2023 to four years in prison.
2022 arrest and 2023 sentence
Minghui reports that Jing was arrested on September 11, 2022 while talking to people about Falun Gong. At the time, she was working as a caregiver in the Changchun home of fellow practitioner Guo Caihua. Police later arrested Guo the same day.
According to Minghui, Jing and Guo appeared before the Kuancheng District Court on April 28, 2023 and were each sentenced to four years in prison.
Reported prison treatment
A later Minghui report states that Jing was held in Division Eight of Jilin Province Women’s Prison, including its strict-management unit. The outlet alleges prolonged forced sitting, cold-water punishment, food restriction and other mistreatment that caused serious sores, mobility problems and cognitive impairment. These allegations have not been independently verified.
Earlier reported detention history
Minghui reports earlier forced-labor and prison terms beginning in 2000 and states that Jing had been employed as a nurse at Siping City First People’s Hospital before being forced into early retirement in 2001. Those details remain source-attributed.
Status and evidence limits
Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 景凤云 among reported current prisoners in its four-year-sentence group as of August 31, 2026. A March 2004 report had incorrectly stated that Jing died after an earlier arrest; later documentation of her continued imprisonment and subsequent cases shows that report was inaccurate, and it is not treated as fact here. No release date is inferred.
