Kong Jiuhong / 孔久红

Kong Jiuhong (孔久红) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Anlu City, Hubei Province. Prisoner-monitoring and Falun Gong-affiliated sources report that she was detained in October 2023 and sentenced in May 2024 to seven years in prison.

2023 detention

The CHRD Prisoners of Conscience database and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong report that Kong was seized from her home on October 24, 2023 by domestic-security police. The sources report that she was taken first to a facility in Changsong, later to Yunmeng County Detention Center, and on November 22, 2023 to Hanchuan Rehabilitation Hospital. WOIPFG describes the latter as a psychiatric hospital; that characterization remains source-attributed.

2024 trial and sentence

WOIPFG reports that the Anlu City Court tried Kong on April 17, 2024 and sentenced her on May 7, 2024 to seven years in prison. The organization reports that she appealed. The formal criminal charge is listed as unknown in the prisoner database, and no appeal outcome has been located.

Earlier reported history

WOIPFG also reports an earlier detention episode beginning in 2000, including a hunger strike, repeated force-feeding and an attempted transfer to a reeducation-through-labor camp. These allegations have not been independently corroborated by official records and remain attributed to that organization.

Status and evidence limits

Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 孔久红 among reported current prisoners in its seven-year-sentence group as of August 31, 2026. The prisoner database gives October 23, 2030 as a term endpoint, but that value is treated as a database field rather than an independently verified release date. Her current detention location and present health are unknown.
