Kuang Deying / 况德英

Kuang Deying (况德英) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Qiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. Falun Gong-affiliated reporting states that she was arrested in August 2025 and later sentenced by the Wuhua District Court in Kunming to four years in prison.

Background

The Falun Dafa Information Center reports that Kuang was born in 1962 and moved to Kunming in the early 2000s, where she worked as a self-employed businesswoman.

Earlier reported detention history

Minghui and Clear Harmony report repeated detention beginning in 2000, including two reeducation-through-labor terms totaling about five years, a four-year prison term imposed in 2008, and another five-year prison term imposed in 2020. These accounts come from the same advocacy-reporting ecosystem and remain source-attributed.

2025 arrest and 2026 sentence

According to the Falun Dafa Information Center and Minghui, police arrested Kuang at her home in Kunming on August 3, 2025. The Wuhua District Court later sentenced her to four years in prison. The sentence became publicly reported in January 2026. A court fine was also reported, but the amount is unclear.

Those sources report that Kuang appealed and that her family retained a lawyer for the second-instance proceedings. No appeal outcome was located in the reviewed record.

Status and evidence limits

Kuang is treated as a current prisoner based on the 2026 reporting. Her present place of detention and current condition are not established. No public court judgment or PRC official account was located. Her Chinese name is 况德英; the form 匡德英 is incorrect and is not used here.
