Li Xiuling (李秀玲)
Li Xiuling is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shulan City in Jilin Province who was sentenced to four years in prison in 2024.
According to the Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) prisoners-of-conscience database, Li was arrested by Shulan police on June 5, 2024. She was later sentenced to four years by the Shulan City Court; the charge is not documented. In December 2024 she was transferred to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. Her recorded sentence runs through June 4, 2028.
The arrest was part of a mass sweep. A Falun Gong-affiliated outlet, Minghui, reported that more than a hundred Shulan police officers detained over fifty local practitioners on June 5, 2024. The outlet also recounts earlier detentions and a one-year labor-camp term beginning in December 2000. These details are the outlet’s account and have not been independently verified.
The Rights Defense Network (维权网) lists 李秀玲 in its August 31, 2026 monthly report on political and conscience prisoners in custody in mainland China, in the group of those sentenced to four years.
Sources and documentation: the case details above come from a human-rights NGO case record and a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet and have not been independently verified by other outlets cited here. The exact date of sentencing and the charge are not documented. No international-media or official Chinese-government reporting on this case was located.
