Leng Zhenhui (冷振辉) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Changtuozi Village, Taohaotai Township, Qianguo County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. Falun Gong-affiliated reporting states that he was arrested in October 2025 and later sentenced to seven years and six months in prison.
2025 arrest and 2026 prosecution
Minghui and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong report that police arrested Leng around October 10, 2025 after identifying a WeChat message in which he mentioned Falun Gong. The reports state that police located him through his phone, arrested him in Changtuozi Village and searched his home.
Those sources report that the Qianguo County Procuratorate indicted him in January 2026 and that the Qianguo County Court tried the case on February 5, 2026.
Sentence and appeal
Minghui and WOIPFG report that Leng was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison and that he appealed. The exact sentencing date and the formal criminal charge are not stated in the reviewed sources.
Earlier reported detention history
WOIPFG and Minghui describe earlier detention episodes beginning in the early 2000s, including forced-labor terms and confinement in facilities described by the outlets as brainwashing centers. Those accounts remain source-attributed.
Status and evidence limits
Minghui reported that Leng was admitted to Jilin Province Second Prison on August 19, 2026. No later status, appeal outcome, public court judgment or PRC official account was located. One 2008 Minghui headline calls him “Ms. Leng Zhenhui,” while the body and all other records identify him as male; the headline is treated as an editorial error.
