Li Yixing (李一星) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Zhengzhou City in Henan Province who was sentenced to five years and six months in prison in September 2023.
A November 2023 report by Minghui, a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet, identifies Li as a 42-year-old man. According to the report, he and fellow practitioner Li Hongwei were detained on November 1, 2021 outside another practitioner’s home by police from the Jinshui District Public Security Bureau. Their case was heard by the Xinzheng Court on July 19, 2023; family members were reportedly not permitted to attend. On September 27, 2023, the court sentenced Li Yixing to five years and six months with a 50,000-yuan fine, according to the outlet.
The Rights Defense Network (维权网) lists 李一星 in its August 31, 2026 monthly report among in-custody political and conscience prisoners sentenced to five years and six months. The same roster places Li Hongwei in that sentence group as well, consistent with the reported co-defendant case.
