Liang Chunhua

Liang Chunhua is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin City, Jilin Province, reported to have received an eight-year prison sentence in 2020.

Minghui reports that Liang was detained for one day on October 20, 2017 by officers of the Jilin City Domestic Security Division and Xinan Police Station.

For her 2019 arrest, the Minghui record contains a date discrepancy. A contemporaneous report says she was arrested on July 17, 2019 at the Dahua Market by Xin’an Police Station officers after police found her using banknotes printed with Falun Gong messages; about 10,000 yuan was reportedly confiscated. Later 2020 reports instead date the arrest to March 17, 2019. This profile preserves both dates rather than selecting one.

Later Minghui reporting says police searched Liang’s home, confiscated bank deposit books and a salary card, and held her at the Jilin City Detention Center. In August 2020, the outlet reported that she had been sentenced to eight years and was being held in Jilin Province Women’s Prison. The trial court was not identified.

Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, continues to carry “Liang Chunhua” in its reported in-custody universe. No release report was located.

Name note: Chinese characters for Liang Chunhua were not verified in the prepared sources, so this profile intentionally does not guess them.
