Liang Jianguo (梁建国)

Liang Jianguo (梁建国) is a Falun Gong practitioner and barbershop owner from Yiyang City, Hunan Province. Minghui reported that he was sent to prison on August 5, 2026 to serve a three-year term following his November 6, 2025 arrest.

According to Minghui, Liang was arrested in November 2025 for distributing Falun Gong materials and held at the Datonghu District Detention Center. Its August 20, 2026 report states that he had been sentenced to three years and transferred to prison, but says the receiving prison was unknown.

The same outlet reports two earlier prison terms. In 2008 Liang was arrested in Changsha and later sentenced to four years, serving time at Wangling Prison. His wife, Shen Luoling (沈罗玲), was separately sentenced to one year of forced labor. In 2017 Liang was arrested again in Yiyang and initially sentenced to five years; Minghui’s later retrospective says the Yiyang City Intermediate Court reduced that term to four and a half years on appeal.

Minghui also reports earlier detentions beginning in 2000 and allegations of coercive treatment during a 2003 detention. Those historical and mistreatment details remain source-attributed.

Status: reported serving a three-year prison term as of August 20, 2026. The current prison facility, criminal-code charge, and release date are not established and are not inferred.
