Li Shoulan (李守兰) is a retired railroad employee from Dazhou, Sichuan Province, and a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Gong-affiliated reporting states that she was arrested in Ankang, Shaanxi Province at the end of 2023 and later sentenced to five years in prison.
2023 detention history
Minghui reports that Li was arrested in Ankang on February 22, 2023 and held for about twelve days. The outlet says police suspected her of mailing a letter to Ankang mayor Wang Hao and describes a physical examination carried out while she was detained. Those details remain source-attributed.
Later arrest and sentence
Minghui reports that Li was arrested again in Ankang at the end of 2023 and that her family received no updates for an extended period. In late May 2025, the outlet reported that the 73-year-old had been sentenced to five years in prison and transferred to an unspecified prison.
Status and evidence limits
Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 李守兰 among reported current prisoners in its five-year-sentence group as of August 31, 2026. The exact prison, sentencing court, sentencing date and formal charge are not established. A 2007 same-name person in a Qinghai labor-camp report is a different individual and is not merged.
