Liao Zhijun (廖志军) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, and a former employee of the Chenzhou Train Inspection Office of the Hengyang Depot. He was reported sentenced on January 13, 2025 to five years in prison and a 10,000-yuan fine.
Falun Dafa Information Center reports that officers from the Suxian District Police Department and Nanta Police Station arrested Liao at his home on August 1, 2024. The report states that the January 2025 sentence was his fourth prison term and that he appealed.
Minghui’s earlier reporting identifies Liao and his father, Liao Songlin, in a 2008 case involving installation of satellite receivers for NTD Television. It reports that both were tried in September 2008 and that Liao Zhijun received a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence, served at Jinshi Prison. Minghui also reports later imprisonment after a 2013 arrest.
Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists 廖志军 / Liao Zhijun in its five-year-sentence group, consistent with the reported January 2025 verdict.
