Person profile: Liao Zhijun (廖志军)
This archive preserves reporting on Liao Zhijun, a former train inspector from Chenzhou, Hunan, repeatedly imprisoned in Falun Gong-related cases.
2008–2012 — father-and-son case
Minghui reported the 2008 arrests of Liao Zhijun and his father Liao Songlin in connection with installing satellite receivers for NTD Television, their September 2008 trial, and Liao Zhijun’s three-and-a-half-year sentence at Jinshi Prison. A later first-person account described alleged mistreatment during detention; those claims remain source-attributed.

Falun Dafa Information Center reports an August 1, 2024 arrest at Liao’s home and a January 13, 2025 five-year sentence plus a 10,000-yuan fine. It reports that he appealed and describes this as his fourth prison sentence.

Evidence limits
No PRC court judgment, official charging document, or independent state-media account was located. Sources conflict over the year of Liao Songlin’s death, so the exact year is omitted. The 2025 appeal outcome remains unknown.
