Peng Hui (彭辉) is a woman from Fengrun District, Tangshan, Hebei Province who is reported by monitoring organizations to practice Falun Gong. She and her husband, Xiao Wenhua, were detained in Nanning, Guangxi, in November 2023 and were reported sentenced in December 2025 to seven years in prison.
2023 detention and prosecution
CHRD’s Prisoners of Conscience database and WOIPFG report that Peng and Xiao were detained on November 21, 2023 after allegedly using a phone’s Bluetooth function to project stored content onto a public screen in a Nanning café. The sources state that they were held at Nanning No. 2 Detention Center and prosecuted by the Jiangnan District Procuratorate in March 2025.
Trial and sentence
Those sources report hearings on June 11 and 12, 2025 and a December 16, 2025 judgment sentencing each defendant to seven years in prison and a 20,000-yuan fine. The formal criminal charge is not stated in the reviewed sources.
