Liu Liying (刘丽影) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. Minghui reported her as 54 years old in early 2024.
According to Minghui, Liu was arrested on July 19, 2023 by officers from the Qitamu Police Station. The outlet reports that police searched her home and confiscated Falun Gong materials, electronics, identification documents, bank cards, luggage, and more than 30,000 yuan in cash. Some documents and cards were later returned after her sister intervened.
Minghui reports that Liu was held at the Xinglongshan Detention Center and later sentenced by the Kuancheng District Court to four years and six months in prison. The exact sentencing date was not reported. In early January 2024, her family confirmed that she had been admitted to Jilin Province Women’s Prison.
Minghui also reports earlier detention and a nine-year prison sentence imposed in 2004, plus later detentions in 2015 and 2017. Allegations of torture and mistreatment in those earlier cases remain source-attributed.

Status: listed as in custody as of August 31, 2026. No sentence-end date, current prison conditions, or later status are asserted.
