Liu Xiaoping (刘晓萍) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Kunming, Yunnan Province. Minghui reported her as 68 years old in 2025 and around 69 in 2026.
Minghui reports that Liu was detained on June 6, 2024 during a coordinated Kunming police operation. Her case was handled by the Zongshuying Police Station and the Xishan District Procuratorate, which reportedly returned the case twice before indicting her in February 2025.
Nine defendants were tried at the Xishan District Court on March 26, 2025. Minghui reports that on May 1, 2025 the court sentenced Liu to four years in prison and fined her 10,000 yuan.
A March 2026 Minghui report lists Liu among practitioners held in the Yunnan Province Second Women’s Prison and describes her as serving a four-year term with a stated endpoint in July 2028.
Source conflict: Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists 刘晓萍 in a three-year-sentence section. That conflicts with Minghui’s detailed May 2025 case report and March 2026 prison list, both of which state four years. The discrepancy remains unresolved; this profile reports what each source says rather than treating either figure as an independently verified court judgment.
Minghui also reports an earlier ten-year sentence imposed in 2013 following a 2012 arrest. Those historical details remain source-attributed.
Status: listed as in custody as of August 31, 2026. The July 2028 term endpoint is a Minghui-reported term date, not a confirmed future release.
