Liu Xing (刘星) — Media Profile & Archive

Person profile: Liu Xing (刘星)

This archive preserves reporting on Liu Xing, a Falun Gong practitioner from Daxing District, Beijing.

July 2022 — arrest

Minghui reports that Liu was detained during a police operation involving dozens of practitioners and held at the Daxing District Detention Center with Liu Yuhong, Jin Shuying, and Dong Xiurong.

April–December 2023 — sentence correction

An April 2023 Minghui report gave Liu a one-year-nine-month term. A December update states that family members later confirmed the court had provided false “light sentence” information and that Liu’s actual sentence was four years and six months with a 5,000-yuan fine. The later figure supersedes the earlier report.

Evidence limits

No official judgment, exact sentencing date, post-detention-center prison placement, age, occupation, or independently verified current prison conditions were located. A 2004 Shijiazhuang namesake is a different person; a 2013 Daxing same-name arrest is not merged because available anchors are insufficient.
