Liu Xu is a Falun Gong practitioner from Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. The Chinese characters of her name were not confirmed in the sources reviewed and are therefore not supplied here.
Minghui reports that Liu was arrested on March 29, 2024 after officers entered her home and called her back from work. She was later held at the Yingkou City Detention Center.
According to Minghui, Liu stood trial at the Zhanqian District Court on August 27, 2024. In late October 2024, the court sentenced her to three years and six months in prison and fined her 10,000 yuan. The outlet reported that she appealed to the Yingkou City Intermediate Court.
A July 2025 Minghui update states that Liu was transferred in mid-April 2025 to Shenyang Women’s Prison, where she was reported held in the No. 4 Team of the 12th Division.
