Liu Yufen (刘玉芬) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiutai District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Minghui reported her as being in her 70s in 2025.
According to Minghui, officers from the Tumenling Police Station arrested Liu at about 7 a.m. on July 21, 2023. The outlet reports that her home was searched and that, after 15 days of administrative detention, she was placed under criminal detention.
In January 2025, Minghui confirmed that Liu had been sentenced to three years and six months in prison. In the same case, Tian Zhibin received four years and Zhu Guiqing received two years and eight months.
Minghui also reports earlier detention beginning in 2000, including forced-labor terms and alleged mistreatment. Those historical treatment claims remain source-attributed. In September 2021, Liu and Zhu Guiqing were again reported detained together in Jiutai District.
Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists Liu Yufen among reported prisoners in custody. The sentence window is consistent with continued custody at that date.
