Lu Suping (卢素平)

Lu Suping (卢素平), born in 1957, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Linghai City, Liaoning Province who formerly worked at the Linghai City real-estate company.

Rights Defense Network and the CHRD-linked Prisoners of Conscience Data database report that Lu and her son Jiang Nan (姜楠) had previously been sentenced in 2013 — Lu to three and a half years and Jiang to three years. Lu was held at Liaoning Women’s Prison in that earlier case.

On June 2, 2025, according to the same sources, Lu and Jiang were taken away by Linghai City police. Lu was held at the Jinzhou Women’s Detention Center.

The mother and son were tried at the Linghai Court on December 22, 2025. On December 26, 2025, both were reported sentenced to six years in prison and fined 15,000 yuan each. The sources give June 1, 2031 as the stated end of Lu’s term. The formal criminal charge is not identified in the available records.

Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists 卢素平 among reported current prisoners serving six-year terms.

Status: reported in custody as of August 31, 2026. The June 1, 2031 date is a source-reported term endpoint and is not treated as a confirmed future release. Her prison placement after the detention center was not established.

Source note: one Rights Defense Network sentence briefly gives the sentencing year as 2026, but the same article’s trial chronology, stated term endpoint, and the database record support December 26, 2025; the 2026 year is treated as an internal typo.
