Sun Zhongli (孙中丽) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists her among reported in-custody cases in the seven-year-sentence subgroup.
Minghui reports that Sun Zhongli was arrested in Dalian on June 26, 2020, the same day as fellow practitioner Ren Haifei, and that her residence was searched. The two later appeared before the Ganjingzi District Court in September 2021.
According to Minghui, on October 14, 2021, Ren Haifei was sentenced to ten years and fined 100,000 yuan, while Sun Zhongli was sentenced to seven years and fined 70,000 yuan. Both appealed; no appeal outcome was located.
A March 2026 Minghui report states that Sun had not begun serving the sentence earlier because of health reasons. It reports that police seized her in early January 2026, held her at the Yaojia Detention Center for more than two months, and admitted her to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on March 16, 2026.
