Wang Shuhua (王淑华, Liaoning)
Wang Shuhua is a Falun Gong practitioner from Liaoning Province, reported to have been sentenced to four years in prison in November 2025.
Wang, born in 1957, is a native of Changtu County, Tieling, and lived in Shenyang’s Hunnan District. Before retirement she worked twenty years as a political-education director and vice principal at the Daxing Middle School in Changtu County, and received provincial teaching honors. She began practicing Falun Gong in May 1998. After the crackdown on Falun Gong, she was removed from her vice-principal post in 2000, and in 2002 she was sent to three years of labor camp in the Masanjia facility, according to case reporting.
On August 23, 2025, Wang was assaulted and reported by a passerby, Liu Fengqing, after speaking to him about Falun Gong. Officers of the Shenhe District public security bureau took her into custody, and she was held in the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center. The Dadong District procuratorate approved her arrest on September 1 and indicted her on September 24. On November 19, 2025, the Dadong District Court tried her case, and on November 25 it sentenced her to four years in prison with a fine of ¥30,000, the charge not stated in the reporting. On December 3, 2025, Wang filed an appeal with the Shenyang Intermediate Court, seeking an acquittal.
