Chronology
- August 7, 2021 – twelve Golden Lampstand Church co-workers were detained in Linfen on reported “fraud” charges; six were later released on bail.
- November 5, 2024 – ChinaAid reported Wang remained among the six detained continuously for more than three years.
- June 2025 – Chinese Human Rights Defenders reported Wang was sentenced to nine years and seven months.
- August 31, 2026 – Issue 131 listed 王晓光 / Wang Xiaoguang as the sole person in the 9-year-7-month sentence group.
